The book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is considered as one of the famous books written by Eric Carle. The story is surrounded by a caterpillar that eats lot of food since his birth. He eats too much. Later, after his recovery he turns into a cocoon and remains the same for the next two weeks. Afterwards, he transforms into a beautiful and colourful butterfly.
The book has very nice visuals from caterpillar to cocoon/pupa to butterfly. The pictures have beautiful graphics widely appreciated by the readers and especially by the kids and children’s. The book has earned many children's literature awards and a major graphic design award.
